Apply Foreign Worker

This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Announcement for Google Career Certificate Scholarship (GCCS) Program

The Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship(DoEE), Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment (MoICE) in collaboration with Gov Tech Agency is pleased to announce scholarship support from google for online learning with Coursera. The scholarship support aims to enhance digital skill, knowledge, and competencies of Bhutanese individuals towards realizing the digital jobs creation aspiration and  overall digital economy development.

A total of 500 slots are available for any registered and active job seekers willing to enhance the digitals skills and get employed in digital platforms.

  1. Training Conditions

•       The trainee must start the course within a week from granting access to the platform

•       Course duration should not exceed 6 months (and course should be completed by June 2024).

•       The applicants must show a weekly progress which will be checked by course administrator. Failing to show progress will be removed and barred access from learning platform.

The interested applicants can apply using following steps

Step 1: Apply for Registration

The interested jobseekers can with log into Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment’s(MoICE) website (www.moice.gov.bt) and navigate to announcement section. …CLICK HERE….

After registration, the focal official from ministry will get back to you with email notification conforming the eligibility.

Step 2: Sign up and learn online

After receiving the eligibility conformity from ministry, you need to signup with learning platform Coursera through its website: www. coursera.org. To navigate through the platform, refer the Google Professional Certificates on Coursera Enterprise Learner Guide.

The course administrator from the ministry will add the participants to the learning group. After that the individuals are required to choose the course of your choice from the platform and learn online.

Step 3: Get Certified

After completing the course, you will be provided with certificate of completion jointly provided by google and Coursera.
