Apply Foreign Worker

This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Joining of New Officer under PMC Category, 2024

𝟎8 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment Congratulate and welcomed 9 new officer recruits in Professional and Management Category (PMC) who joined the ministry under various Departments and Offices commencing from January 2024. The 9 officers includes; Asst. Program Officer, Asst. Chemist, Asst tourism Officer, Communication Officer, three Asst Trade Officer and two Asst. Industries Officer

The HRD started conducting a generic onboarding programme on 8th January 2024 to orient them on various Departments, Authority and Secretariat’s mandate, mission and vision. The program will be concluded on 11th January 2024.
