Notification on Employees’ Provident Fund

The Department of Labour would like to inform the concerned enterprises that as per Sections 225 and 226 of the Regulation on Working Conditions, 2022 employers and employees shall each contribute to the employees Provident Fund (PF) account on a monthly basis. In this regard, it has come to the attention of the Department that a number of employers/enterprises are making the deductions from their employee’s salary for their PF contributions however; these deductions are not being deposited in the correct PF accounts.

As such, the concerned enterprises must contact their respective financial institutions and resolve this situation and ensure that the deductions are correctly contributed to their respective PF accounts.

Failure to do so may result in a penalty upon inspection by the DoL.

Kindly contact the Department of Labour at #333867 for any clarifications.
