This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Basic Entrepreneurship Course for Village Skills Development Program of Nganglam Dungkhag

Basic Entrepreneurship Course (BEC) ) on New Business Creation (NBC) for  Village Skills Development Program (VSDP) of Nganglam Dungkhag, Pemagatshel Dzongkhag has been organized by the Entrepreneurship and Promotion Division (EPD) under the Department of Employment and  Entrepreneurship(DoEE), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources in collaboration with Samdrup Jongkhar Regional Office, MoLHR.  The program was conducted from 4th to 19th August 2022 at Nganglam Dungkhag, Pemagatshel Dzongkhag to build entrepreneurial competencies among the participants.

There were 30 participants, all women, with various education backgrounds consisting of NFE Certificate holders, and formal education ranging from classes 5 to classes 12 and a few uneducated ones. There were 6 business ideas, which were forwarded to write the business plans as a team. There was 1 business idea in the agriculture sector, 1 in the service sector, 4 in the production and manufacturing sector. After vigorously training the participants on how to pursue entrepreneurship as a career choice and assisting those in writing business plans that can be submitted to financial institutions to obtain funding in the near future, they were well equipped with basic entrepreneurial knowledge.  Business idea pitching was conducted with a panel of four judges considering fair evaluation based on ten judging criteria. The top four best business ideas were selected and awarded with a cash prize of Nu. 50,000 each to motivate them to start their business. The Entrepreneurship Promotion Division (EDP) under the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) as a part of CSI Flagship program, conducted the Basic Entrepreneurship Course (BEC)  for 15 days to the Village Skills Development Program (VSDP) graduates of Tailoring who are interested to set up a business. The closing ceremony of the program officially ended on 19thAugust, 2022 graced by Dasho Drangpon of Nganglam Dungkhag, Pemagatshel Dzongkhag.
