Apply Foreign Worker

This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Basic Entrepreneurship Course (BEC) for SDP graduates at TTI, Samthang, Wangdue

Basic Entrepreneurship Course (BEC) on New Business Creation (NBC) for skill Development Program (SDP) graduates of Digital Marketing trainees of Samthang and 3D-Printing trainees from Jigme Wangchuck Power Training Institute (JWPTI), Sarpang was conducted at Samthang Technical Training Institute (TTI) under Wangdue Dzongkhag. The course was conducted by the Entrepreneurship Promotion Division (EPD) under the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources.

The program was conducted from 16th July to 30th July, 2022 for the duration of 15 days at TTI Samthang, which focused on building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. There were 15 participants with 9 males and 6 females who were all unemployed. The course aimed to impart knowledge on business management, financial literacy, marketing strategies, business plan development and networking among the relevant organizations for support to startup the business. The course saw 15 different business ideas pitched with the majority of the ideas related to production and the rest related to services. The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Sangay Tshewang, Principal of TTI(Samthang) with a certificate awarding.
