This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Farm Machinery Technology;

The course is designed to benefit the day-to-day requirement of the agriculturalist in the country. The training shall cover the following areas:

  • Basic operation of power tillers
  • Overall repair and maintenance of power tiller and mini power tiller
  • OVerall repair and maintenance of small petrol engines (brush cutter, chain saw etc) – 6 days
  • Repair, maintenance and operation of post harvest machines & Protective agriculture, welding and fabrication
  • visit of private firms

The Floriculture encompasses flower production, processing, marketing and distribution with the learning objectives to carry out;

  • Nursery development;
  • Flowers/ornamental plant production; and
  • Post-harvest management

Dairy Production;

The course shall  provide knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become competent in dairy production with the competencies in the basic principles of milk and the practices required to make dairy products and their quality aspects of milk and milk products.

Avocado Production and Management;

The course is designed to make the participants a competent in plantation and in managing for Avocado production. The course shall cover both theory and following practical aspects; Nutritive value and economics importance for Bhutanese economy, various species and varieties of Avocado, Propagation structures and techniques, raising of seedlings, nursery, plantation, site selection, layout design, field preparation etc.

In addition, after the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend Basic Entrepreneurship Coursewhich will be conducted for 2 weeks.

Free accommodation and stipend of Nu. 3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.

The selection will be on FIRST-COME-FIRST basis and the applicants shall be notified within 2 working days from the last date of application via phone/email.
