This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Announcement of ECCD Training under Skills Development Plan

As a part of the Skills Development Plan (SDP), the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources will be conducting 3rd Cohort ECCD Training at Paro College of Education (PEC), Paro as detailed below:

This training aims to address the need to  prepare knowledgeable, skilled and competent ECCD facilitators capable of providing care, early stimulation and learning opportunities in different ECCD programmes and services in the country. Specifically, the programme will address the need for qualified and professionally trained facilitators in the ECCD sector.

Learning outcome from this program:

  • Demonstrate sound understanding about early childhood concepts, theories and practices;
  • Explain the importance of early childhood education for children, parents and socio-economic development of the country;
  • Respect and value local funds of knowledge when working with families and communities;
  • Create conducive learning environments for children at ECCD centres;
  • Possess knowledge about disabilities and inclusion in ECCD centres;
  • Use various assessment tools to determine children’s learning and development;
  • Plan appropriate play materials;
  • Exhibit knowledge of health care, safety principles, nutritional and physical needs of young children;
  • Demonstrate understanding about the importance of STEM and literacy development for children.

In addition, after the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend 2 weeks of Basic Entrepreneurship Course (BEC). 

Logistics is available for 10 Males & 35 Females under first come first served basis. 30 seats available for interested day-scholar candidates.
