This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

2nd Cohort ECCD Training Launched

The Ministry of Labour and Human Resources in collaboration with the Paro College of Education launched the 2nd Cohort ECCD training program as part of the Skills Development Program on April 25, 2022 at Rinpung ECCD Center in Paro.

A total of 68  candidates, out of which 6 are male and 62 female will undergo the 3 months training program which will be a comprehensive training consisting of 16 hours theory and 16 hours practical session.

By the end of the 3 months training program, the trainees will be able to:

  1. demonstrate sound understanding about early childhood concepts, theories and practices;
  2. explain the importance of early childhood education for children, parents and socio-economic development of the country;
  3. respect and value children’s funds of knowledge;
  4. create conducive learning environments for children at ECCD Centre;
  5. gain knowledge about disabilities and inclusion in ECCD Centre;
  6. use various assessment tools to determine children’s learning and development;
  7. plan appropriate play materials;
  8. exhibit knowledge of health care, safety principles, nutritional and physical needs of young children; and
  9. demonstrate understanding about the importance of STEM and literacy development for children.
