This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Shortlist for Nehru-Wangchuck Scholarship 2022 intake for non-civil service sector

The Training and Development Division (TDD), Department of National HR Development (DNHRD), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources is pleased to announce the shortlisted candidates for the Nehru-Wangchuck Scholarship 2022 intake as follows:

  • The shortlisted candidates will be informed of the selection interview date, time and venue through email.
  • The shortlisted candidates should submit their CV in the prescribed format (download CV format) by 31st March 2022 to Ugyen Namgyel, TDD, DNHRD at unamgyel@molhr.gov.bt.
  • During the interview, candidates are required to make a ten minutes presentation on a topic provided on the interview date, which will be followed by a question and answer session.
  • Kindly note that the pre-populated marks (used for shortlisting) shall not be carried forward and the selection shall be purely based on the final selection interview which will be based on the criteria set in the HRD Rules and Regulation for the Non-Civil Service Sector.
