This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

The Department of National Human Resource Development (DNHRD), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) is pleased to inform that the online applications for Australia Awards Scholarships for master’s studies commencing w.e.f January 2023 is now open. Priority fields of study for Master’s level programs are:

For obtaining the Nomination letter from DNHRD, please submit duly filled  In-service HRD form along with document mentioned in the form to the TDD, DNHRD office in person or by email at tenzins@molhr.gov.bt. The Nomination letter will be provided w.e.f the date of this announcement till 27th April 2022 in accordance to the HRD Rules and Regulation for the non-civil service sectors of MoLHR. Therefore, applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Minimum three years of work experience with the nominating agency at the time of application;
  2. Relevant qualification requirements; and
  3. Relevant current work profile to applied studies.
