In collaboration with the Mongar Dzongkhag Administration and Thimphu TechPark Limited, the Entrepreneurship Promotion Division, Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources conducted the Basic Entrepreneurship Training for unemployed youths in Mongar Dzongkhag from 10-26 January 2022.
The training was attended by 26 youths (12 male and 14 female), from various backgrounds ranging from overseas returnees, layoffs, graduates, and high school returnees. After vigorously training the participants for 15 days on how to pursue entrepreneurship as a career choice and assisting them in writing a simple business plan that can be submitted to financial institutions to obtain funding/investment in the near future, they are required to present their ideas to a panel of judges that select the top four best business ideas to provide with a cash prize of Nu. 50,000.00 as seed funding to kick start their business.
