The Department of Trade wishes to inform the public that the inward transportation of fuel by the State Trading Corporation of Bhutan Limited (STCBL) has encountered an unexpected delay due to the diversion of fuel tankers to an alternative route following the collapse of a major bridge along the Bokaro–Siliguri corridor, which has significantly extended transit time.

Consequently, STCBL Fuel Retail Outlets (FROs) located in Thimphu and Chukha namely at Ramtokto, Jungshina, Chukha and Chamkuna may experience temporary shortages in the availability of fuel on Friday (May 22) and Saturday (May 23) until the arrival of fuel consignments which are already on the way.

Fuel supply at all other fuel retail outlets in both Thimphu and Chukha will remain normal during this period and the public is requested to plan accordingly and refuel from other fuel retail outlets (FROs) to avoid inconveniences.
