Newly appointed Professional Management Category (PMC) officials

9 April 2026: coinciding with an auspicious day, the Ministry warmly welcomed the newly appointed Professional Management Category (PMC) officials with a Tashi Khadhar ceremony.

A total of 28 PMC Officers, comprising 23 under the Administration Service and 5 under the Technical Service, were placed at the Ministry by the Royal Civil Service Commission with effect from January 1, 2026, following their successful completion of the Bhutan Civil Service Examination. The officials have also completed a three-month Foundational In-Service Training (FIT) at the Royal Institute of Management.

In his address, Hon’ble Lyonpo highlighted that the officers are joining the civil service at a critical time in Bhutan’s transformation, where their contributions will be essential to strengthening public service delivery and advancing national priorities, with their roles spanning key areas of the Ministry’s mandate, including trade, industry, investment, jobs, entrepreneurship, tourism, creative industries, and regulatory functions.

Hon’ble Lyonpo encouraged the officers to complement their technical knowledge with integrity, ownership, adaptability, and a strong sense of responsibility, emphasizing that their commitment and delivery will define their journey in service.

The Ministry extends its heartfelt welcome and best wishes to our new colleagues for a meaningful career in service of the Tsa-Wa-Sum.
