The Department of Media, Creative Industry and Intellectual Property, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment, is undertaking the important task of modernizing Bhutan’s intellectual property legal framework through amendments to the Copyright Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2001. These reforms are essential for aligning national legislation with international best practices and facilitating Bhutan’s accession to key WIPO-administered treaties.
