17 November 2025: Dr. Ratnakar Adhikari, Executive Director of the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF), and Mrs. Wendy Paratian, EIF Country Coordinator, called on the Hon’ble Lyonpo this morning.
Dr. Adhikari reaffirmed the EIF’s commitment to supporting Bhutan’s WTO accession and export-promotion priorities. Lyonpo recalled their recent meeting in Geneva and thanked the EIF for its continued support in strengthening Bhutan’s trade capacity, including e-infrastructure for trade, services development, and export diversification under Brand Bhutan.
Lyonpo also expressed appreciation for the EIF’s upcoming USD 3.5 million support package for Bhutan’s WTO accession and export diversification, expected to be announced at the WTO Ministerial Conference (MC14) in Cameroon in March 2026.
Since 2009, the EIF has been a reliable partner in Bhutan’s trade development journey, demonstrating the role of trade as a driver of inclusive economic growth.
