This is to inform the general public and all interested parties that the Department of Media, Creative Industry & Intellectual Property (DoMCIIP), MoICE has received an application for the voluntary deposit and registration of their copyright and related rights from the following author/owner:

2. Name of Owner(s): Sonam Wangchukuk
3. Title of the Work: Sangwa Kuengi Yonten
4. Category of the Work: Literary works (Script)
5. Description of the Work:This script is based on a true story from Gangtey Goenpa, it follows Sangwa Kuengi Yonten, a Khandum (a spiritual woman) and Drung Drung Choe Gi Bu, a man from another part of Gangtey Goenpa. They meet during the Gangtey Tshechu and fall in love, planning to get married. However a demon becomes obsessed with Drung Drung Choe Gi Bu and the story takes from there.

Through this notification, the DoMCIIP would like to invite opposition/objection to application for registration of the above work. The opposition/objection should be filed with the Department within 15 working days from this notification’s publication date.

If no oppositions/objections are filed within the stipulated time, the application will be accepted for registration and, accordingly, issued a certificate of registration thereafter.
