10 July 2025 — Coinciding with the auspicious 15th Day of the 5th Month of Bhutanese Lunar Calendar, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment (MoICE) held a promotion ceremony to celebrate the appointment of three new Division Chiefs through an open-competition process and the broadband promotion of 25 officials to the next position level, effective 1 July 2025.

Commending the dedication and service of the officials promoted and indeed of all civil servants under the Ministry, Hon’ble Lyonpo remarked that civil service is a deeply fulfilling responsibility and a noble calling. In his address, Hon’ble Lyonpo shared “promotion is a milestone, but leadership is a journey. As Chiefs and senior officials, you are not only being rewarded for past performance – you are being entrusted with a larger responsibility to lead, to inspire, and to shape the culture and standards of our institution. This is a time of national transformation, and your leadership will matter more than ever.”

The Ministry extends heartfelt Tashi Delek to our three Division Chiefs and officials who received their Appointment and Promotion Orders today, including our colleagues being promoted in the Regional Offices who could not attend the event in person.

The event was attended by Hon’ble Secretary, Heads of Departments, and the recipients of the Promotion Orders.
