The Department of Media, Creative Industry & Intellectual Property (DoMCIIP) has been actively supporting audio-visual content creators under the Economic Stimulus Program (ESP) since July 2024 to develop Bhutan’s creative industry and promote local content.

As part of our commitment to ensuring the effectiveness of this initiative, we are conducting a comprehensive review of the fund utilization and impact of the support provided thus far. This review aims to assess progress, ensure meaningful outcomes, and align our efforts with established targets.

Accordingly, DoMCIIP will not be accepting any new funding proposals until further notice. Our immediate focus will be on achieving the current digital content creation goals in a targeted manner and refining our support strategies to enhance long-term sustainability. We remain dedicated to identifying improved funding opportunities for Bhutan’s creative industry in the future.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a thriving creative ecosystem in Bhutan.
