This initiative aligns with His Majestyโ€™s Royal Vision of establishing an Enlightened Entrepreneurial Bureaucracy and represents a significant step in the Ministryโ€™s ongoing efforts to promote and support entrepreneurship. Recognizing the crucial role of leaders in shaping a dynamic entrepreneurial landscape, the Bootcamp seeks to equip executives with the knowledge and tools needed to drive innovation and enterprise growth in Bhutan.

  • A solid understanding of entrepreneurship fundamentals.
  • Insights into the key components required to create a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

The opening session was graced by the His Excellency,ย  the Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Employment, who emphasized Bhutanโ€™s ambitious goals, including a tenfold increase in GDP, positioning the country as a leader in sustainability, tourism, agriculture, and digital innovation, and building a knowledge-driven economy. His Excellency highlighted the crucial role of leaders in shaping Bhutan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and achieving the objectives outlined in the 21st Century Economic Roadmap. The bootcamp, he noted, is not just an opportunity for learning but a call to action for executives to collaborate, innovate, and lead change. While Bhutan has made progress, challenges such as limited public awareness and gaps in innovation skills remain. The Minister also referenced His Majestyโ€™s “Diamond Strategy” and the launch of the Strategic Roadmap 2025-2035, which aims to transform the Civil Service into an Enlightened Entrepreneurial Bureaucracy to support Bhutanโ€™s economic vision.
