The Department of Trade, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment would like to inform all businesses and stakeholders involved in international trade that a new Export Registration will be officially rolled out with effect from 1st January 2025. The export registration is aimed at streamlining and enhancing export procedures, to ensure greater efficiency, transparency, and compliance with the regulatory requirement.

The export registration module is accessible from the Bhutan TradeFin Net (BTFN) System using existing login credentials of the BTFN users. The export registration is one-time mandatory registration for all the exporters for processing their export documents.

In order to ensure smooth transition and implementation of the export registration, the Department had conducted end user training to the exporters, industries and clearing & forwarding agents in Samdrup Jongkhar, Gelephu, Phuentsholing and Samtse in the month of November 2024. Similar training will also be conducted for the stakeholders in Western Dzongkhags this month. All stakeholders are encouraged to complete your registration in a timely manner in the month of December 2024 to avoid any delays in processing export documents at the time of system roll out.

The Department would like to solicit kind support and cooperation from the stakeholders for the successful implementation of the export registration.
