Notification on the Provident Fund

The Department of Labour would like to inform the concerned enterprises that as per Sections 225 and 226 of the Regulation on Working Conditions, 2022 employers and employees shall each contribute to the employees Provident Fund (PF) account on a monthly basis. In this regard, it has come to the attention of the Department that a number of enterprises are inactive and have not made regular PF contributions. As such, the concerned enterprises must contact their respective financial institutions and resolve this situation.

With the end of the pandemic situation, contributions to the respective PF accounts must be made or in the case of business closures the PF accounts must be claimed. Please resolve your enterprise’s inactive status at the earliest. Failure to do so may result in a penalty upon inspection.

Kindly contact the Department of Labour at #333867 for any clarifications.
