Department of Labour-This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through MoLHR-MIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoLHR will keep notifying in future.

Announcement for Seoul City Scholarship 2023 intake

The Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development (DWPSD), Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) is pleased to announce the availability of 3 slots under the Seoul City Scholarship for 2023 intake for both pre-service and in-service candidates in the following fields:

 Benefits of Scholarship

The successful candidates shall receive following benefits during study periods:

  1. Round-trip air tickets between Seoul and Bhutan;
  2. Free-of-charge training (including tuition fee, textbooks, materials and field trips);
  3. Accommodation and meals (Dormitories will be provided); and
  4. Monthly supplemental allowance.

 Eligibility criteria

The applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Educational background: High school graduate or Higher and require relevant work experience in Hair and Beauty or certain period of training in Beauty industry.
  2. Age: 18 years to 30 years at the time of application deadline.

  1. Dully filled pre-service/in-service HRD form (which ever applicable)

  2. Academic transcripts and mark sheets (Class X only)
  3. Training certificate/employment letter/appointment letter

Short-listing and selection will be done in accordance to the scholarship rules and requirements (HRD Rules and Regulations for Non-Civil Service Sector 2022).

Interested and eligible both pre-service and in-service candidates may apply to the Skills Development Division (SDD), DWPSD, MoESD on or before 26 January 2023 4:30 PM.

Shortlisting of candidates will be done on 27th December 2023 and accordingly shortlisted details and interview date will be announced on MoESD website accordingly.
