This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Announcement of Course on Acting–Black Box Theatre

As a part of the Skills Development Program, the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources is pleased to announce the availability of the Acting–Black Box Theatre at Youth Development Fund, Thimphu from 16 January 2023 for 2 months funded by MoLHR as detailed below:

The training program is designed to provide trainees with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to act in theatre and film. The short course will prepare the participants to perform with confidence  to be on the stage, or the screen. They will get a deep understanding in preparing for a character and play it with conviction. The work will start with understanding the self and preparing individually, gradually moving to co-actor work and then finally opening up to the audience in case of theatre and camera in case of films. 

Upon completion, the participants will be able to carry out: Perform Monologues – Individual acting work; Perform with Co- Actors; and Face the audience and camera.

In addition, after the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend Basic Entrepreneurship Course which will be conducted for 2 weeks.

The applicants shall be called for the selection interview via email based on FIRST-COME-FIRST basis and upon fulfilling the criteria specified above.

A stipend of Nu. 3500 per month will be provided to the participants for the entire duration of the course.
