This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Basic Entrepreneurship Course for CCTV and Home Appliance Trainees Concluded

The 15 days Basic Entrepreneurship Course conducted by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources concluded on 1st October 2022. The Basic Entrepreneurship Course was provided to the beneficiaries of SDP program on CCTV and Home Appliance Training at Technical Training Institute Khuruthang, Punakha.

The Seven business Idea were presented: most of the business idea were related to their skills and knowledge learned during the Skills Development Program (SDP) Their business idea were:

  1. Sweet Rush 
  2. Pumkin Powder
  3. Prickly Pears
  4. Lovely Kids Care 
  5. Home Appliance Care 
  6. Vegetables waste Bio-gas
  7. Home Appliance Repair 

The closing event was graced by Hon’ble MP, Dasho Lhaki Dema. The Course was focused on imparting the knowledge in business management, financial literacy, marketing strategies, business plan development and networking among the relevant organizations for support to startup the business.

The Hon’ble MP Dasho Lhaki Dema, congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the Basic Entrepreneurship Training and awarded the certificate.
