Launch of Student Business Seedling Club: Fun Plus Potato Chips Production

The Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship and Tangmachu Central School  through a modest ceremony on 02/10/2022 launched Business Seedling Club: Fun Plus Potato Production Unit at Lhuentse Dzongkhag. The launch ceremony also included the award of certificates to the members of the club.
Business Seedling Club is a club that will work towards providing students first hand experience on entrepreneurship through multiple innovative projects/activities that would utilize local resources and contribute to solve issues in the local community. These projects/activities are intended to build, develop and enhance the ability of the students to think innovatively, gain skills & knowledge especially in entrepreneurship and ultimately consider self-employment as a viable career option. Similar to the venture club modality, the club will share the majority of its revenue generated from its activities to the students which would further motivate the students to be enterprising.
One of the initial projects of the club is the Fun Plus Potato Chips production which aims to provide healthy and tasty potato chips to the school and the community. The club has 25 active members closely guided by three enthusiastic  teachers namely Mr. Sither Tshewang, Mrs. Thinley Zangmo and Mrs. Chimmi Lhamo with strong support from the management of the school.
The establishment of the club is one of the strategies to promote entrepreneurship at the grass root level and in the long run produce students who are enterprising and are prepared to pursue a sustainable career of self-employment.
