Apply Foreign Worker

This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Basic Entrepreneurship Course Conducted for Graduates of Metal Art Design and Fabrication

The 15 days Basic Entrepreneurship Course conducted by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources concluded on 9th August 2022. The Basic Entrepreneurship was provided to the beneficiaries of SDP graduates of Metal Art design and fabrication Training conducted at Technical Training Institute Khuruthang, Punakha.

The Course was focused on imparting the knowledge in business management, financial literacy, marketing strategies, business plan development and networking among the relevant organizations for support to startup the business.

Seven business ideas were presented; most of their business ideas were related to their skills and knowledge learned during the skill development program. Their business ideas were predominantly towards the economic, environment, and social responsibilities and setting up of fabrication.

Their business ideas are:

  • Metal Repair & maintenance Services 
  • MoM’s Kitchen Knife (set) 
  • Metal Arts Scraps Products 
  • Vision metal Signage manufacturer 
  • Enjoyable Combat Sport 
  • Friends metal Arts and Fabrication
  • Tang-Thong Metal Frabrication

The event was graced jointly by Mr. Yonten Pelzang,Principal of Technical Training Institute Khuruthang and Sangay Tshewang,Principal of TTI Samthang. There were 26 candidates who completed the course. The participants were awarded certificates for completing the program successfully.
