Department of Labour-This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through MoLHR-MIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoLHR will keep notifying in future.

Notification to all the Diagnostic Service Centers (DSC)

This is to notify all the Diagnostic Service Centers (DSC) approved by the Ministry of Health and wishing to carry out medical screening of Foreign Workers are required to register with the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources in accordance with Section 96 of the Regulation on Foreign Workers Management 2022.

The registered DSC will be issued with the Certificate of Registration after signing a Letter of undertaking and shall be governed by the Regulation on Foreign Workers Management 2022.

Therefore, all the DSC currently located in Phuentsholing, Samtse, Samdrup Jongkher, and Gelephu are advised to submit your proposal/application in the prescribed format articulated in the regulation latest by August 12, 2022.
