Department of Labour-This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through MoLHR-MIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoLHR will keep notifying in future.

  1. Auto Mechanic in accordance with industry standards and can perform services such as performing engine tune-up and overhauling engine by demonstrating professionalism development, safety and workshop practices.
  2. Panel Beater in accordance with industry standards and can perform services such as basic welding, repairing plastic bumpers and repairing automobile body.
  3. Automobile Painter in accordance with industry standards and can perform services such as preparing surface for painting and carrying out painting.
  4. Refrigeration and air conditioning technician in accordance with industry standards and can perform services such as applying fundamental of RAC, carrying out servicing of domestic refrigerator, installation & servicing of domestic air conditioner/heat pump and servicing of Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC).

After the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend the Basic Entrepreneurship Course which will be conducted for 2 weeks. 

The selection shall be on FIRST-COME-FIRST–SERVED. The selected candidates shall be notified within 3 working days from the last date of application. A logistic will not be provided. A stipend of Nu. 3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.
