This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Training Announcement under SDP

As a part of Skills Development Program (SDP), Ministry of Labor and Human Resources is pleased to announce the availability of the Institute Certificate in Vegetable and Poultry Production training at Rural Development Training Centre (RDTC), Zhemgang fully funded by the ministry as detailed below:

Only interested jobseekers/youths, laid-off employees and oversea returnees can apply for the training. The last date of application is 03 July 2022. 

The intensive courses shall prepare trainees to carry out and  prepare them with professionalism, teamwork, adaptability, and safety practices as per the requirement of workplace. For certification of this short course, all learning outcomes prescribed will be achieved and be competent in Vegetable and Poultry Production.

In addition, after the completion of the course, all individuals are required to attend Basic Entrepreneurship Course which will be conducted for 2 weeks.

Free accommodation and stipend of Nu. 3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.

The selection will be on FIRST-COME-FIRST basis and the applicants shall be notified within 2 working days from the last date of application via phone/email.
