This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Learn with Coursera and edX

The Department of National HR Development (DNHRD), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) is pleased to announce support for online learning with two global online learning platforms, Coursera and edX.

The support aims to enhance skill, knowledge and competencies of Bhutanese working in different economic sectors. A total of 500 slots are available for any in-service candidates working in the private, corporate, RCSC delinked, CSO, and other non-civil service agencies with effect from June 2022 to May 2023.

The applicants will be notified about their eligibility within 1 to 2 working days after they have registered.

Please, enroll and learn a course only if you get the email saying that you are eligible. If you do not get any email within 1 to 2 working days, it means you are not eligible for this program.
