This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Bhutan New Venture Challenge 2022 Update

Now that the screening process has been completed, the first phase of the evaluation will be commencing. A panel has been formed to evaluate the screened entries. The panel consists of relevant stakeholders such as academicians, entrepreneurs and the government to provide a balanced evaluation.  The following are the panel members:

1. Mr, Rinchen Dorji is a lecturer from Gaeddu College of Business Studies. He holds a Masters in International Business and has been teaching international business and entrepreneurship to students for 11 years. He has also facilitated various entrepreneurship courses on behalf of the college.
2. Miss Dechen Wangmo is a civil servant with Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and is currently serving as Economic Development Officer. She is a certified facilitator by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship for entrepreneurship courses.
3. Miss Sanju Mongar holds a Bachelors in Biotechnology and is an entrepreneur by profession. She is one of the inaugural winners of BNVC 2020 edition. She has undergone “Basic Entrepreneurship Course” and her business idea is identified as one of the “Top Business Ideas” through a competitive format in the course.
