The 15-day Basic Entrepreneurship Course conducted by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources in collaboration with Thimphu TechPark in Paro ended on 23 May, 2022. The event was graced by His Excellency Karma Dorji, Layog Lyonpo.

During the training program, 20 business ideas were generated mostly focused on the Services, manufacturing and production sector.  Twinkle Toe Ceramics, Happy HandCraft, Yummy Yums and Kuenphen Home Stay bagged the top best four business ideas.

The course focused on building skills in business management, financial literacy, marketing strategies, business plan writing, prototyping, pitching and networking which are essential and integral parts to start a business.

Addressing the participants, His Excellency shared the importance of entrepreneurship, and support rendered by the Ministry of Labour and Human resources. Lyonpo also commended the participants on their hard work and enthusiasm and urged to continue their efforts on the business ideas and to seek further post- training facilitation and support from the Ministry if needed.
