The Start-up Bootcamp for the graduates of TTI Rangjung has been successfully completed on 13 April, 2022. The event saw 14 business ideas being pitched under two categories. The pitch was conducted in front of a panel of judges comprising of relevant representatives from Renew Micro-Finance Ltd, Bhutan National Bank Ltd, Tashigang Dzongkhag Administration and Sherubtse College.
To encourage and facilitate start-ups, the Runners-Up and Winners were awarded cash prizes. The cash prize is intended for the winning team to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations by turning their ideas into actual business enterprises. Formation of TVET enterprises will contribute towards development of TVET and the national economy.
Category A: Electrical and Computer Networking & Hardware Category:
1. Winners: Sweet Pea
A business idea that utilizes the electrical skill-set to pursue their interest in agriculture.
2. Runners Up: Dr. Electric
Dr. Electric is a dedicated business for motor rewinding and other electrical R&M services.
Category B: Automobile and Furniture Making category
1. Keptang Choskhan
Keptang Choskhan aims to be the first native producer of “Keptang Making Machine”. Their product is aimed to be a cost-effective alternative to imported products for similar purposes.
2. Gari-Lubrication
Gari-lubrication is a specialized business that intends to cater to all lubrication requirements of machineries and vehicles, particularly heavy vehicles.
The award ceremony was graced by Dasho Dzongrab of Tashigang Dzongkhag Administration who in his address encouraged the participants to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations and help contribute towards the national economy.
