Foreign Workers Advised to Remain at Worksite till Entry to India is Permitted

In order to facilitate smooth and orderly exit of foreign workers after the lockdown is lifted in India, all employers of foreign workers are requested to advise their workers to remain at their respective worksites till it is confirmed that they will be permitted to enter India.

Once entry is permitted by India, employers are requested to inform MoLHR the number of workers and date on which they wish to leave. Exit will be facilitated in a staggered manner to prevent the congregation of a large number of workers at border exit checkpoints so employers are requested to ensure that workers leave only upon receiving a notification from MoLHR.

All employers must complete the Undertaking Form available on the website of the Department of Immigration and Labour. The form must be presented at Immigration Checkpoints along with a copy of the TWP (COVID-19) Card and Work Permit. Also please inform your respective Foreign Worker Recruitment Agent.
