This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Notification regarding foreign workers by DoL

This is to inform the general public that in line with the National Covid-19 Task Force’s public notification vide letter No. NC19TF/01/3022 dated 1st October, 2021, the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources will review and approve all foreign workers for government/autonomus/ private and corporate. The employers/Foreign Workers Recruitment Agents are required to apply through online Labour Net System with the following documents besides the normal requirements:

  1. A valid Voter Card /Passport
  2. Dully filled Employer Undertaking Form available in the MoLHR website
  3. Dully filled Excel sheet available in Labour Net System and
  4. Notarized qualification certificate for professionals

However, before importaing the approved foreign workers, the employers/FWRAs   should seek necessary approval for allocation of quarantine facility from the concerned Regional/Dzongkhag COVID19 Task Forces.
