This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Notification for Skill Development Program(SDP)

n view of the current COVID19 situation in the country and the measures taken by the government to contain the outbreak, the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) would like to inform all its registered trainees that the skilling programs which are either ongoing or to be starting soon under Skills Development Program(SDP), Build Bhutan Project(BBP) and Village Skills Development Program(VSDP) will be temporarily suspended in the Red and Yellow Zones until further notice.

However, should the on-going training programs in the aforementioned zones be continued, the management concerned may do so in self-contained mode upon seeking approval from the respective COVID19 Task Force Offices.

All ongoing training programs in the Green Zones will proceed as scheduled.
