This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Training Announcement under SDP at Agriculture Machinery Training Centre, Paro

The Ministry of Labor and Human Resources is pleased to announce the availability of the Farm Machinery Technology training funded by MoLHR under the Skills Development Program as detailed below:

The course is designed to benefit the day to day requirement of the agriculturalist in the country. The training shall cover the following areas:

Phase I (35 days)

  • Operation training of power tiller, mini power tiller, post-harvest machines, green house technology.

Phase II (55 days)

  •  Repair and maintenance of power tiller, mini tiller, small farm machines, (brush cutter, power chain saw) Post harvest machines, basic welding

In addition, after the completion of Phase I & II, those interested individuals can opt to attend Basic Entrepreneurship Course which will be conducted for 15 days.

Logistics and stipend of Nu. 3500 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the course.
