This is to notify and inform the general public that the SHORT-TERM WORK PERMIT (E-Work Permit) is now being initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment. The employers wishing to import foreign workers even for the duration less than 30 days should now compulsorily apply online through BLMIS with immediate effect. Besides the normal required documents, the individual/FWRA/employers should submit the medical clearance certificate of the foreigners obtained from the country of origin.This notification is referred to the approval of the night halt work permits only and for other categories and updates, MoICE will keep notifying in future.

Early childhood care and development started its endeavor in Paro College of Education in 2015 with the establishment of Diploma in Early Childhood care and development programme. With the importance given to early childhood sector in the country, our programme has strengthened over time.

As stated in the table below, we have produced graduates who are skilled and competent in the early childhood field with sound knowledge in theories and practices related to early childhood education.

By the end of the three months training programme, the trainees will be able to:

  • demonstrate sound understanding about early childhood concepts, theories and practices;
  • explain the importance of early childhood education for children, parents and socio-economic development of the country;
  • respect and value children’s funds of knowledge;
  • create conducive learning environments for children at ECCD centres;
  • possess knowledge about disabilities and inclusion in ECCD centres;
  • use various assessment tools to determine children’s learning and development;
  • plan appropriate play materials;
  • exhibit knowledge of health care, safety principles, nutritional and physical needs of young children;
  • demonstrate understanding about importance of STEM and literacy development for children.
