The Training and Development Division (TDD), Department of National HR Development (DNHRD), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR) is pleased to announce the Nehru-Wangchuck Scholarship for the Non-Civil Service Sector. The scholarship details are provided below:

Specific Criteria includes
- Should have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study
- Should have a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience with the nominating agency. However, as per HRD Rules and Regulation for the Non-Civil Service Sector, the minimum work experience required for a subject lecturer is one year.
Benefits of Scholarship
The successful candidates shall receive the following benefits during training:
- Monthly Stipend: Nu. 50,000;
- Book allowance (annually): Nu. 12,500;
- One time establishment allowance: Nu. 10,000;
- Thesis/Research Grant of Nu. 63,000 on actual submission of receipts (eligible only if the course is research-based);
- Airfare (one time to & fro);
- Coverage of health insurance; and
- Tuition Fees and other admission related costs.

- Mark sheet and certificates (Class XII and Bachelor degree)
- Any other merit certificates
Interested and eligible candidates from Non-Civil Service Sector may submit your application in person to the TDD, DNHRD or through email at unamgyel@molhr.gov.bt latest by 4th February 2022.
Shortlisting:
- Three candidates against each field will be shortlisted based on merit (as per HRD Rules and Regulation for Non-Civil Service Sector). The shortlisted candidates will be announced tentatively on the MoLHR website on 11th February 2022.
Selection Interview and Interview Result
- The selection interview will be held tentatively on 17-18th February 2022 and interview results will be declared on 18th February 2022.
- All of the shortlisted candidates will have to make a 10 minutes presentation on the selected topic during the selection interview (topic for presentation will be shared with shortlisted candidates on the day of the interview)
- Only the four best candidates based on performance during the selection interview shall be selected.
Note: Selected candidates must seek admission in reputed Universities in India which are recognized by accreditation bodies in India or International Accreditation Councils within a given time period from the interview result announcement date. The RCSC shall facilitate in providing ‘Recommendation/Scholarship support letter if required by the candidate while processing the admission. However, if a candidate fails to secure admission within the given time, the scholarship shall be offered to the standby candidate.
